A website budget should reflect what the company needs.
How large should my business website budget be?
Squarespace and Wix are perfectly fine platforms that work well for many small businesses. If you have less than $1,000 to spend on a website, you should consider one of these platforms. If you have more than $1,000, we recommend WordPress with an on-page drag-and-drop website builder. WordPress provides robust power that you will not achieve with Squarespace or Wix. The WordPress website builders also make the editing easier than SquareSpace or Wix.
Budgets under $1,000 are looking at a template with basic business information to share your message, products/services, and give people a way to contact the business.
Budgets over $1,000 can add more detailed information to help drive more clients and sales. If you need a more extensive website that includes an integrated booking system, focused marketing strategy, e-commerce, or theme customization, your budget should be closer to $4,000.
